Sophie and the Parrot

Sophie’s turn this week – this looks like a really big parrot!  Did you know the reason they can grip onto things so well is that they have two toes that point forward and two that point backward. Goats in Trees

I was visiting a friend on her farm recently and her goats got out of their pen. It was such a fun sight (for me at least) to watch them dancing around the tree eating the leaves that I had to draw them.  They really are a bit naughty! Monkey and Banana

Who doesn’t like monkeys?  I can’t imagine.  This one seems to be a super friendly monkey, sharing his bananas with Sophie and Sadie!  I thought that all monkeys had thumbs – turns out many do, but not all.  But they all peel their bananas and throw away the skin just like we do! Sunshine and Flowers

We are pretty happy that it seems to be spring for good where we’re living!  Flowers popping up, sunshine shining down – we’re dancing. Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!

Sharing flowers

Sometimes it’s nice to have an experience all of your own and sometimes things are better shared with friends.  Last week Sadie got to enjoy the flower all on her own – this week she’s sharing the experience with Sophie. Flowers

I just love flowers.  I could look at them all day.  I’ve had a few experiences of seeing a single flower in a sea of concrete and am always so amazed by how it managed to survive.  In today’s coloring page, Sadie has found a flower – which is hard to do in December where we live! leaves

Different leaves come from different kinds of trees and this coloring page is about identifying 4 types of fairly common leaves – at least around where I live.  There is also a matching activity page! Leaf pile

Sadie makes me laugh. Trust her to find something that involves making a mess and having fun. Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!

Falling Leaves

It’s fall where I live and the leaves are turning beautiful colors (not that green isn’t beautiful!) and starting to fall off the trees.  How fun!  That means yummy smells, making crunchy sounds walking through the leaves, jumping in leaf piles – or collecting leaves like it looks like Sophie is doing or catching them like Sadie is trying to do!  What is your favorite thing about Fall? Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then […]

Pulling Cart

I’m actually not really sure if Sophie and Sadie are pulling or pushing the cart in this drawing.  All I know is that they are cooperating and that’s what’s important! Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!
