Monkey and Banana

Who doesn’t like monkeys?  I can’t imagine.  This one seems to be a super friendly monkey, sharing his bananas with Sophie and Sadie!  I thought that all monkeys had thumbs – turns out many do, but not all.  But they all peel their bananas and throw away the skin just like we do! Elephant

Who doesn’t love elephants?  One of my favorite books growing up was Babar the Elephant looking very regal in his outfits and going off on adventures.  I was so fortunate to see elephants out in the wild in South Africa.  The reason I know that elephants can pick up a tree with their trunk and pull it out by its roots is I actually saw it happen.  The elephant was slowly walking by a tree, wrapped its trunk around it […]

Flowers

It’s spring!!!  Well, it’s actually supposed to snow tomorrow, but there are daffodils and crocuses and buds on the trees and we are so happy to see the wonder of it all.  Can you imagine thinking up all of those shapes and colors?  There’s room on this page to add your own flowers as well and a letter tracing practice. Star trace

Stars are great, they tend to make us smile up in the sky as well as on paper and stickers.  They do tend to be hard to draw.  All of those short lines at funny angles.  I think that is part of what makes them good practice for writing.  Whatever you do, make sure it’s fun! heart trace

Hearts look deceptively simple – to draw, to care for, etc.  Sophie, Sadie, and I love hearts!  Sophie loves wearing them and Sadie and I love drawing them.  You can learn to draw them too by helping Sadie trace  the one on this coloring page! Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!
