Such a beautiful and fun time of year! All of the beautiful colors and the crunch sounds when you walk through the leaves. And, of course, jumping in leaf piles! Did you know that the color that we see in the fall is actually the true color of the leaf? The summer sun mixes with something called chlorophyll in the leaves that makes the leaf green – but when the sun isn’t as strong and we move towards Fall, the chlorophyll goes away and the true color of the leaf shines through!
