I bet Sophie is pretty surprised to find a statue in the museum looks just like her! Sculptures can be made out of all different kinds of materials – wood, metal, ceramic, ice, fabric. They can be any size from tiny to huge. This statue looks like a famous statue by Edgar Degas called Little Dancer. He originally made the statue out of wax – and later 28 copies were made out of bronze.
