It’s almost January and that means it’s time for fireworks! Different countries and different cultures have different New Years that they celebrate at different times of the year. Here in the United States, just about everyone calls January 1 New Years Day and gets new calendars – and there are lots of fireworks! It was actually Julius Caesar in 45 B.C.E. that decided the calendar officially started on January 1 – although the Romans had been celebrating that day since 153 B.C.E.
