Hugging Sheep

Whenever I see sheep or pictures of sheep, I just want to hug them.  I haven’t had the opportunity to do that yet.  My guess is it’s actually a bit sheepy smelly and probably not quite as soft as in my imagination.  I’ll let you know when it happens!  In the meantime, Sophie is living my dream! Lamb time!

There is something totally adorable about lambs – so soft and unsteady on their feet.  Sadie’s making friends with the lamb in this coloring page while the daddy sheep (ram) looks on. Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!

Painting Sheep

We’ve got a bit of a sheep thing around our house.  Not a bad drawing of a sheep – don’t you think!? Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!

Monkey and Banana

Who doesn’t like monkeys?  I can’t imagine.  This one seems to be a super friendly monkey, sharing his bananas with Sophie and Sadie!  I thought that all monkeys had thumbs – turns out many do, but not all.  But they all peel their bananas and throw away the skin just like we do! Elephant

Who doesn’t love elephants?  One of my favorite books growing up was Babar the Elephant looking very regal in his outfits and going off on adventures.  I was so fortunate to see elephants out in the wild in South Africa.  The reason I know that elephants can pick up a tree with their trunk and pull it out by its roots is I actually saw it happen.  The elephant was slowly walking by a tree, wrapped its trunk around it […]

Flowers

It’s spring!!!  Well, it’s actually supposed to snow tomorrow, but there are daffodils and crocuses and buds on the trees and we are so happy to see the wonder of it all.  Can you imagine thinking up all of those shapes and colors?  There’s room on this page to add your own flowers as well and a letter tracing practice. Sharing flowers

Sometimes it’s nice to have an experience all of your own and sometimes things are better shared with friends.  Last week Sadie got to enjoy the flower all on her own – this week she’s sharing the experience with Sophie. Flowers

I just love flowers.  I could look at them all day.  I’ve had a few experiences of seeing a single flower in a sea of concrete and am always so amazed by how it managed to survive.  In today’s coloring page, Sadie has found a flower – which is hard to do in December where we live! leaves

Different leaves come from different kinds of trees and this coloring page is about identifying 4 types of fairly common leaves – at least around where I live.  There is also a matching activity page! Falling Leaves

It’s fall where I live and the leaves are turning beautiful colors (not that green isn’t beautiful!) and starting to fall off the trees.  How fun!  That means yummy smells, making crunchy sounds walking through the leaves, jumping in leaf piles – or collecting leaves like it looks like Sophie is doing or catching them like Sadie is trying to do!  What is your favorite thing about Fall?
