Apple picking

One of the fun things to do where we live in the Fall is to go apple picking – and apple tasting! There are so many different kinds of apples in the world that if you tasted a different kind every day it would take you 20 years to taste them all! Puddles

It doesn’t look like Sophie’s umbrella is going to help her stay dry with Sadie jumping in the puddle! Puddles have a funny definition – basically they are any water that is shallow enough to walk through and not deep enough to float a boat or raft. I think a better definition is ‘fun to splash in!’ Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!

Buying Seeds for the Garden

It’s almost summer! and that means it’s time to start the garden. Actually, we probably should have started a few weeks ago, but better late than never! Sophie and Sadie are trying to decide which seeds to buy. What are your favorite vegetables? Starry Night with Cactus

I don’t know about you – but I think Sophie and I have the same idea….that sure does look like Sadie in the Starry Night! Just like Van Gogh’s famous painting called Starry Night – this one has parts that are a little different that they actually look in real life. That’s why Van Gogh belonged to the art school called post-impressionism. Can you see the moon and the stars and maybe even the wind?! Click on the image below, […]

Museum map

After all of the art that they’ve seen, Sophie and Sadie have finally found the map of the museum. I wonder what they are looking for?! What do you think? Aren’t maps cool? I especially like figuring out what the different symbols mean. In this map there are symbols for stairs, escalator, elevator, bathroom, information, gift shop, pay, coat rack, bathroom, and snack bar. Can you find them all? Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, […]

Remember that feeling of sitting on the top of the slide and waiting for the kid who went before you to get out of the way so you can go down?  I totally feel for Sophie in this coloring page! Flower curvy trace

heart trace

Hearts look deceptively simple – to draw, to care for, etc.  Sophie, Sadie, and I love hearts!  Sophie loves wearing them and Sadie and I love drawing them.  You can learn to draw them too by helping Sadie trace  the one on this coloring page! First Day of School!

Some will say that the perspective on this drawing is a little off with the backpack being almost as big as Sophie – but I see kids her size walking around with backpacks about that size.  What do you think is inside?
