Banana Split!

We’ve been doing a lot of exploring of the museum – and it’s time for a snack! Did you know that almost all of the bananas that we eat are clones of each other?! There are over 1,000 different kinds of bananas, but only a few that taste good enough to eat – even covered with ice cream, sauce, and whipped cream! I’m glad Sophie and Sadie are such good friends they can share so nicely! Click on the image […]

Apple cider

Apple picking

It’s apple picking time where we live! Sadie must be picking apples from a dwarf (shorter) apple tree since she’s pretty short. What do you think she’s going to do with them? One other fun fact about apples – the Chinese word for apple is pronounced ‘ping’ which also means peace. One of the problems is that there are more and more places that honey bees can’t live because there aren’t enough flowers and yummy things for them to eat. Glad these bees are finding some pollen (that is what is sticking […]

Panda Bears Eat Bamboo

What is it about panda bears that all I want to do is hug one?  They are so cuddly and gentle looking – maybe because all they do all day is eat bamboo.  There are only 1,000 pandas living in the whole entire world.  More hugging is in order! Click on the image below, or click here, to open the coloring page, then download, print, and start coloring!
