I had a feeling that gymnastics was going to be Sophie’s favorite Olympic sport – but I didn’t guess that she was going to try the vault first! But after watching Simone Biles on the vault during the 2016 Olympics, I can understand why she’d want to! I might suggest she starts with some somersaults on the floor! The vault is also called a horse – maybe because there is a sport in the horse-riding world where athletes do gymnastics on the back of a horse and it is called vaulting.
